Ich mag es, mich mit Nachhaltigkeit in verschiedenen Lebensbereichen auseinanderzusetzen. Ein besonders naheliegender Bereich ist derjenige der Ernährung: wie können Nachhaltigkeitsaspekte in der täglichen Nahrungszubereitung mit einbezogen werden? Ein guter Start ist es, Produkte lokal und saisonal einzukaufen, und somit lange Transportwege (beispielsweise mit dem Flugzeug) zu vermeiden. Eine erfolgreiche Essensplanung und eine produktegerechte Aufbewahrung helfen, Foodwaste zu verhindern. Und Grünabfälle können als Kompost ihren Weg zurück in den natürlichen Kreislauf finden. Um den ökologischen Fussabdruck tief zu halten, hilft es, tierische Produkte zumindest teilweise mit pflanzlichen zu ersetzen. Und wer gutes Essen liebt, sollte auch die Natur lieben: bei tierischen Produkten auf tiergerechte Haltung achten, sowie generell Labels bevorzugen, welche die Biodiversität und den Schutz der natürlichen Umwelt hoch halten.

Als freies Projekt habe ich diese Illustrationen zu wichtigen Nachhaltigkeitsaspekten im Bereich Kochen erstellt. Das Magazin ist eine fiktive Publikation.

I like it to think about sustainability in different areas of life. A particularly obvious area is that of nutrition: how can sustainability aspects be included in daily food preparation? A good start is to buy products locally and seasonally and thus avoid long ways of transportation (e.g. by plane). Successful meal planning and product-appropriate storage help prevent food waste. And green waste can find its way back into the natural cycle as compost. In order to keep the ecological footprint low, it helps to at least partially replace animal products with plant-based products. And those who love good food should also love nature: make sure to buy products that consider animal welfare, biodiversity and the protection of the natural environment.

I created these illustrations about important sustainability aspects in the field of cooking as a personal project. The magazine is a fictional publication.
